The Center for Study of the Principles of the American Founding will close on June 30. The faculty and staff of the Center would like to thank the Jack Miller Center for generous funding and the University community for warm support during our two years of operation.

2007-08 Lecture Series

Steven Smith, Alfred Cowles Professor of Political Science and Master of Branford College at Yale University, will lecture on “Reading Lincoln Through His Letters” on Thursday, April 10 in Stuart 105. Copies of the letters to be discussed are available here. Read more.

2007-2008 Lecture Series

Jean Yarbrough, Professor of Government and Gary M. Pendy, Sr. Professor of Social Sciences at Bowdoin College, will give a lecture, “Jefferson Still Lives,” on Tuesday, May 20 in Social Science 302. The title refers to the last words of John Adams. Read more.
